Post WWII Japan was initially a sandbox for progressives but thankfully history intervened. The parallels to the current situation in the US is startling as the excesses of democracy and the children and grandchildren of the New Deal reap the harvest. How soon can Russia roll into the Ukraine or China invade Taiwan?

(1a) Foundation With Biden Campaign Ties Funding Leftist Agitators On U.S. Streets (The Federalist)
“Claiming to be America’s second-largest private foundation, the Ford Foundation has poured almost $2 billion into groups active in ‘disrupting systems to advance social justice,’ according to its grant database.”
Some notes…
(a) Whatever matriculates from Harvard, Yale, etc. is bad for democracy.
(b) Writers, teachers, artists, labor unions, and “women” is code for fellow travelers (i.e. communists). Democratic reform(s) means similar.
(c) The bulwarks against whatever flavor of socialism/fascism/progressivism/communism is manifesting in the US have been gutted (military, education, entertainment, and media, etc.). If you watch the video it shows Newsweek criticizing liberal policy (would NEVER happen today).
Another difference today, having maybe learned from history, is the progressive alignment with corporations. This alliance represents the greatest transfer of wealth in human history and both have used the pandemic to eliminate small business. Woke corporations also deny loans to businesses that challenge the progressive narrative, attack fans for not embracing socially degenerate behavior (wink wink), censor opposition content, and cooperate in spying on civilians.

(e) The conceit of the progressive is their insistence on using the power of government to promote social equity (taking from the rich and giving to the poor).

(i) “Born to see; meant to look” (Forbes)
“His first book, The End of Economic Man, published in 1939, drew a parallel between Nazism and Communism. Henry Luce, the founder of Time Inc., was so impressed he offered Drucker the job of foreign news editor. Drucker refused, saying he was put off by “group journalism” and the “Hollywood” style of life at Time Inc.”
Smart guy and relevant / prescient since something between Nazism and Communism is metastasizing in the United States.
