This is the master program used to manage all the add-ons (previous concepts). I decided very early to use the orange from Atari Adventure and the concept for the cover art started with a sticker / postcard on PINTEREST. The initial version was very flat, so I added a map that’s very reminiscent of the TfL Tube. I left the project in October/November unsatisfied with the designs.
In April, I picked up the project after watching a friend create some concepts on another project using AI. My first attempt with AI relied on the prior designs and were essentially a reinterpretation of my two-dimensional concepts. The bridge was adding a bit of humanity. I asked Rose (AI) to create an illustration of someone in a transportation control room. I was really satisfied with this image, but when I asked for an iteration based on the style of a specific artist, Rosie told me it violated content policies. Even though Rose provided a bulleted list of permissible and fun modifications she refused to iterate.
My next attempt (session) was a little more fruitful and it’s the central image that’s part of the final design. I also retained a bit of the initial concept in the special edition version of the box art. The special edition will likely include a foldable poster of that TfL like map while the instructional manual for both editions will include concept art for every mode of transportation in WDW. The special edition will include postcards of those vehicles with stats on the back (e.g. the three ferries are named Admiral Joe Fowler (blue trim), Richard F. Irvine (red trim), and General Joe Potter (green trim).). Some other ideas for the special edition include trading cards, stickers, ticket/boarding pass, and a game catalog/insert.
