NEW Atari Box Art Reveal

It’s the second release in my fantastical/magical sim allowing you to operate/manage the Walt Disney World Resort Transportation network. This add-on is for the Walt Disney World® Water Transportation: Magic Kingdom Park & Resorts. My initial inspiration was the Passenger Ferry Osceola Under Way by Leo Svendsen (1968) BUT a design from Collin Cambell titled Passenger Launch Seminole (1969) was a better candidate for the final box art.

Copy for Atari box art would make the most seasoned X posters struggle! My original bullets (see below) had to be trimmed to fit the canvas.

  • Navigate the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake
  • Pilot the Admiral Joe Fowler and General Joe Potter ferryboat
  • Transport guests between the Magic Kingdom Park and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
  • Operate the blue, green, red, and gold water taxis between resorts.

Here’s the completed box art. I’ve spent hours flipping through the Art of Atari and have made a couple of adjustments based on new observations. The biggest is related to the position/placement of the logo for the Warner Communications Company. I’ve also added flourishes like the badge for the water launch/taxi lines.

How is this accomplished?
Imagination, GIMP 2.10.34, FOTOR, MS Paint, Canon LIDE 220, and books like the Art of Atari and The Art of Walt Disney World Resort.
